Tech for the regions

If you build industrial equipment and your customer support first response starts with “can you turn it off and on again”, it’s not going to work for most of regional Australia.

Equipment built for Australian outback conditions means it’s hardy, but it’s not just the great clumps of red dirt that build up inside enclosures. Nor the pile of dead spiders or the 45C days and sub-zero nights.

It’s that these places are hard to get to.

In fact it can be quicker to fly someone from Europe to Sydney than to transport someone from Brisbane (Queensland) to Doomadgee (still in Queensland). Don’t believe us? Ask Google.
